“The
LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that
every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually…
Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with
violence.” (Ge 6:5,11) “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it
be in the days of the Son of Man.” (Lk 17:26)
The conflict between Jews and Arabs in the Middle East is founded on
anti-Semitism. Less than one century ago the whole world community
recognized unanimously the Jewish people’s right to their historic
homeland in all of Palestine. Today there is not one nation in the world
that still supports this decision. They backed down before Arab and
Muslim anti-Semitism.
“First of all, then, I urge
that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made
for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may
lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” (1 Ti 2:1-2)
“For the LORD has chosen Zion;
he has desired it for his dwelling place: ‘This is my resting place
forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.’” (Ps 132:13-14)
“My
help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let
your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who
keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” (Ps 121:2-4)
“Cry
out, Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for
Jerusalem and for Zion. And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that
are at ease; for while I was angry but a little, they furthered the
disaster… For thus said the LORD of hosts, after his glory sent me to
the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple
of his eye.” (Zech 1:14-15; 2:8)
“For
the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place:
This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired
it… There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp
for my anointed. His enemies I will clothe with shame, but on him his
crown will shine.” (Ps 132:13-14,17-18)
“Then
everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against
Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of
hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths. And if any of the families of
the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of
hosts, there will be no rain on them.” (Zech 14:16-17)
