John 4:14 But whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never thirst again---forever! On the contrary, the water that I will give him will become within him a spring of water gushing up to eternal life."
The water of life is the wonderful truth that Jesus is the Christ who gives salvation to every believer (see verses 25,26,42). This truth produces in the believer a "spring" from which flows eternal life. Since that live lasts forever, no one who takes this living water will ever get thirsty, that is, need eternal live again.
One drink of the living water Jesus offers quenches a person's thirst for everlasting life. God's gift of eternal life is permanent and cannot be lost.
