Matthew 6:1 (NLT)"Watch out! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven."

Philippians 4:8-9 (NIV) "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." 


“For there is not a righteous man upon earth who does good and sins not.”  (Ecclesiastes 7:20)
No matter how hard we try to be "good enough," we always fall short of God's standards of perfection.

1 Kings 22: 14 But Micaiah replied, "As surely as the LORD lives, I will say only what the LORD tells me to say."
